"Speak when you are angry and you will make the best speech you will ever regret" - Ambrose Bierce
So very true... As quoted above, anger could make "the best speech you will ever regret".
Every person at some point in life faces a precarious situation, where exploding in anger seems to be the most natural thing to do, the only possible response. Most likely, the person at the receiving end will also move over into the same phase sooner or later. And now, the issue becomes a full blown war of sorts. The issue is now a matter of prestige for both the parties. The three-letter word EGO now looms large in the picture.
Pause...breathe deep... count to 10...
These few moments could save you from having to eat your words, and regretting your actions at a later time. As Horace has said long back - ' ira furor brevis est ' - anger is a brief madness. Words of wisdom, indeed! It takes only the crucial few seconds to bite down those words which could turn back and devour you.
