This song is a nostalgic piece. Growing up, my father used to hum this song so often that it was deeply etched into our subconscious. Decades later, one day out of the blue, I remembered a few lines, but try as I might, I couldn't recollect the rest. I decided to go back to the source, my dear father. And he, very happily sent me the lyrics.
However, a few disclaimers before we begin. I have been informed that Parameshwarji is the author of this song, but I do not have conclusive proof. Nevertheless, I like the overarching attitude of humility in the lyrics. Secondly, the English translation I have conjured up is very patchy.
